The creation of an exceptional fish mount can be achieved only through excellent craftsmanship, experience and artistic ability. For over half a century, Lyons & O'Haver Taxidermy has been a pioneer in the field of fish reproductions. In the 1950's and 60's, Lyons & O'Haver was chosen by the U.S. government to reproduce sharks and porpoises for the Bureau of Fisheries and United States Navy. These exact replicas were used for scientific research. This was the start of modern marine life reproduction. As a family business with a second generation of artisans we are committed to maintaining our high standard of excellence and guaranteed quality.

Whether you release your fish or eat it, you can still enjoy the lasting memory of the catch by having a replica made from one of our many existing molds. With measurements and/or photos of your fish, we can furnish you with a beautiful reproduction. By using one of the molds from our unlimited supply, you eliminate the casting process and save money.
Measure the overall length of your fish from tip to tip. Also measure the girth or half girth at the biggest part of the belly.
If you would like us to custom cast your fish, do the following:

Keep your fish cold or frozen
Lay the fish on a flat surface with the best side up
Keep the fish moist by covering it with a wet towel until it can be frozen
Do not leave your fish in the sun or near heat
Don't gut the fish, however most damage is repairable
Do not put ice directly on top of the fish as it may damage the skin
